Ah... Another embarrassing, but lovable heroine in a Korean drama. Most people might not know that this is based off of Itazura no Kiss. Which is based off the anime, which is based off the manga. Now, you do. 

The first episode starts out with Ha Ni, the main character, dreaming about Baek Sueng-jo (middle) and she is sketching in the forest. She's asleep, of course, in a comparison to Snow White. They even sing in English in the background. Eventually she is woken by a kiss from Baek Sueng-jo. She wakes up to find a white horse, standing nearby. (What.) And winks back at the horse and following it for a while before she wakes up from her dream. She then goes to her classroom, nearly late.

She doesn't seem to notice Bong Jun Gu (her friend?) staring at her. He's obviously a wannabe greaser, and tries to do some sort of joint hair combing thing in the first episode, where I can just cock my head at. His actor, Lee Tae Sung is actually quite cute, off filming, as you can see.

The two get scolded, as Ha Ni is day dreaming about Baek Sueng-jo, and Bong Joon Go, is thinking about her. It goes to lunch time, where Ha Ni is talking with her friends, and her dad's noodle shop, about how they never get tired of the noodles, though she eats them nearly every day. Her best friends, aren't really named, as I haven't paid close attention, but the cast is on the wiki.

Then comes along Hong Jang-Mi. Where every Asian drama is, there is a hot bishuonen. But there is also a bitchy classmate, who tries to steal the hot bishounen from the heroine's clutches, and attempts to isolate her from the rest of the school. 

Anyways-as Hong Jang-Mi passes by, giving a short, informal hello (quite rude) then proceeding to the vending machine, where she doesn't get her drink. Ha Ni, is a senior, and has had this problem multiple times. She comes in and hits the machine, in a few places before kicking it, giving Hong Jang-Mi her drink.

She gives a thank you-which surprises me. That was moderately nice. Yeah. No. It doesn't last for long, because soon after, the resident genius-bishie, Baek Sueng-jo comes in, ignoring everyone and going straight to the vending machine. The same thing happens, and Hong Jang-Mi deciding this was the perfect time, after her pathetic flirting attempts failed, to call Ha Ni over and get him the drink for her to give to him. Ha Ni, nervously, and reluctantly does it for him, where he is surprised, but says nothing and walks off. He then comes back, giving Ha Ni hope, but she is shot down, when he only comes down to get his change from the vending machines. She stands there, angry, and staring after him for sometime, where it then shows her in a room with her friends, asking them about how to confess.

Her dramatic reenactments are funny, at least. One of her best friends (the studious looking one) suggests that she do a love making dance. In her reenactment she is painfully thrown by him to the side, after doing a ballet dance.

Ouch.

She goes home, and shyly--and indirectly--asks her father, how he confessed to her mother. He says he drove around as fast as he could in his shitty car, and kept asking her: Do you want to kiss me? Do you want to date me? Do you want to live with me?

Where she responded with: Do you want to die? 

This made me laugh. I love how Asian culture, it's always: DO YOU WANT TO DIE? It's just hilarious. xD 

She's disappointed, and he explained, that she later confessed that she had basically fallen for him at that point. I wondered how that came to be. Sheesh. You can imagine her reaction for that, and her reenactment. She chases him down with a motorcycle gang thing, and asks him the same thing, ending with: Do you want to go be buried in that coffin over there, where he accepts.

She's left, standing in shock, and decides to go for the love letter route, where she is then rejected later at school the next day with this:

She's on her 34th lap around the school (She has guts. I admire her.) when her friends tell her, she should stop, but she tries to keep going, failing miserably. Koodos to her for trying. D; I wouldn't get past 2 without passing out. She says: If I'm good at one thing, it's doing things for a long time. 

Her friends help her up and they finish the last lap together.

Here comes the beloved 2.0 magnitude earthquake that only destroyed their house, due to shotty workmanship. It actually starts with Bong Joon Go banging his head against the wall, during dinner, because he wants to marry Ha Ni (Poor Bong Joon Go. I feel pity for the hopelessly in love.) and the father agrees with Ha Ni (who doesn't have the natural affinity for making noodles, apparently) that maybe the noodle making line, just won't go on.

After the house begins to shake, Ha Ni, is like: Why do you have to go around destroying other people's houses?! 

Baek Sueng-jo's dad, sees the broadcast about their house and offers them to stay with them, without Ha Ni, knowing Baek Sueng-jo lives there.

You then see Bong Joon Go trying to help out get money for them, when they're perfectly fine. Where, he tries to pin the responsibility on Baek Sueng-jo, and Ha Ni, gets angry yelling at Baek Sueng-jo, saying how he thinks he's better than everyone and can ignore everyone because of it. 

This leads to them making a bet, where if she can get into the 50 people limited study hall, that he made fun of her for, he'll stop being so arrogant, etc. etc. He doesn't believe her, so he says: I'll carry you on my back around the school if you make it into the top 50.

She enjoys the thought, obviously, but agrees angrily. 

Here's the shocking part, where she finds out: Oops. I'm staying with the guy I'm competing with. In his house. 

Oooh. Drama. Her face makes me laugh. And it's odd that he has the courtesy (Though, it does make sense that he's polite) to ask her if she needs help, moving her things into the house.
